Summary: Wordpress 2.8.4-3 now available to install and upgrade your Applications. This is a security release so please ensure you update your wordpress installs asap.If you have any problems let us know.
I've been using the update option in the wordpress dashboard and have already installed 2.8.4. Is this enough? There is no upgrade option listed on my wordpress dashboard but the blackknight application vault lists 2.8-6.
Can you clarify what is the correct process for upgrading wordpress?

It's been a while since we had an update for wordpress so I understand why you've upgraded it yourself.
I don't think upgrading it in the Appvault is a good idea. However if you want to test it, backup your webspace first. There's a post in your cp with instructions on how to upgrade WP via the application vault.

The latest official WordPress release is 2.8.4, so I wonder what means the -3 on your 2.8.4-3 version...

The -3 is the build number for the APS package in our Application Vault. From time to time new releases of the same version come out from the guys who manage the APS packages so they add their own version ID.
