Our software vendors will be doing maintenance on the control panel tomorrow morning from around 7am to 8am.

During this period the control panel at cp.blacknight.com and the online shop will not be available.


As this weekend is a bank holiday in Ireland our offices will be closed on Monday.

Technical support will be available via the helpdesk as normal.

The VPS control panel will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes from around 7am Irish time tomorrow morning (August 1st, 2008) while some minor patches are applied to the system.

This is to resolve a bug affecting functionality that was brought to light in the last couple of days

Currently there is a slight backlog of email on our Premium Spam Filter cluster.  This is causing a delay in some emails for customers of our Premium Spam Filter service.

One of the servers in the cluster is currently experiencing some issues with an unknown RBL (an IP Blacklist), our engineering team are working on this but it's causing delays of between 5 and 20 minutes to emails going through the filter.


UPDATE (14.30):
The mail queue has been significantly reduced now and is staying at a reasonably low figure.  Our engineers are still monitoring the issue however to ensure it does not increase again and cause longer mail delays.

If your website is located on the Priamus - 81.17.252.160 server then you might experience some short periods of website downtime this morning. 

Our engineering team are aware of the issue and are working on resolving it fully as soon as possible.
The server Igraine - 81.17.252.25 is currently experiencing a delay in emails going through is due to high activity on the server, and a large baklog of email.

Our engineers are looking into resolving the situation as quickly as possible now and you should notice the delay get smaller as the server works through the backlog.

UPDATE: This issue has now been fully resolved.  It looks like there was an out of date install of PHPBB on a customer's site that was being abused by spammers and this was causing the high load and mail backlog.
The shared hosting server Morgana is currently not responding. It is being rebooted, and we waiting for it to come back up.

This post will be updated when we find out what caused the issue.

Update: The server is back up and we are now investigating to see what caused the issue.

Our billing site will be down tonight at 8pm for routine maintenance. This should take less than a hour while we test to make sure that everything is back up and running correctly.

We will not be able to accept any orders during this period.

Update: The maintenance has been completed successfully, and billing should be back up now.
The server "ragnell" is currently experiencing issues.

From what we have been able to determine one site on the server has caused issues.

Our engineering team are currently working on restoring services as quickly as possible to affected clients.
