One of our Linux VPS nodes - pemvzlin05 is currently experiencing some issues at the moment and so if your VPS appears to be down it could be on this node.
We hope to have service back up on the VPS in the next few minutes though our engineers will need to wait until service is back to fully investigate the issue and try resolve any possible lingering issues.
Update: 12:23
All containers are started on this node now. It's back to normal. This issue is related to a back office issue and we're going to resolve it with the help of Parallels.
The above named hardware node is currently not functioning correctly. We've already initiated a reboot of it and the VPS should be back up in 15-20 minutes.
To rectify this issue, we'll be moving the VPS off of this node over the coming 24 hours and we'll then investigate these issues further without affecting Customers.
We'll post an update shortly.
Update: 16:15
This Node is now back online and 80% of the VPS, are started. The remaining 20% should be started in the next 10 or so minutes.
If you are running a Plesk based VPS DO NOT upgrade to Plesk 9.
There are issues with Plesk 9 on our system which may render your VPS unusable
So please do not install Plesk 9 until we give the "all clear"
When: Friday 12th and Saturday 13th of September Starting at 22:00 hours
What: All of the new shared hosting and VPS infrastructure, web servers, mail servers, database servers etc will be moved to a new cage in InterXion. This shouldn't result in extensive downtime, but it could be upto 2 hours.
During this time you won't be able to purchase domains, send e-mails, upload files or view/visit any sites on the platform. It'll take around 30 minutes to shut down all the machines and then take around 1 hour to move the cabs to a new cage.
If you have any queries about this please let us know ASAP.
The VPS control panel will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes from around 7am Irish time tomorrow morning (August 1st, 2008) while some minor patches are applied to the system.
This is to resolve a bug affecting functionality that was brought to light in the last couple of days
On Thursday morning starting at 7am we'll be upgrading our CP system to PBA 4.3 from 4.2. This upgrade will take between 1 and 2 hours and for the duration of it the Customer Control Panel (https://cp.blacknight.com) will be unavailable.
You'll be able to access your VPS via SSH or Plesk/Vzpp by going to it's IP address and port 8443 or 4643 using https.
If you have any questions please let us know.
Hi there,
In order to change how we manage VEs memory in Virtuozzo we need to restart the Virtuozzo service on each hardware node (for linux VPS only).
We've made all the necessary config changes already. We'll be doing the restarts just before 6pm Irish Time. (2hours from this post time.)
