We are experiencing some issues with one of our offsite name servers: ns2.blacknightsolutions.com
As the server is off site (in Germany) our engineers are liaising with the third party data center to resolve the issue asap.
No downtime or issues will be incurred to our users by this outage as our nameservers are fully redundant.
As always, we will update this post as soon as more information is available and/or the issue is resolved.
UPDATE 12:05 This issue is now resolved. We're just awaiting a Reason for Outage document from the third party data center.

Eurid are signing their zone tomorrow, so the zone will not be dynamic for about two hours - between 1000 and 1200 UTC.
During this time period there may be some slight delays in DNS updates, though the delay is expected to be negligible.
We are experiencing problems with one of the Name Servers for our legacy shared-hosting services.
These should not be service effecting.
We have been contacted by the IE Domain Registry in relation to DNS servers that are vulnerable to attack and exploit.
While the Blacknight DNS servers are NOT open to exploit using the "Kaminsky exploit" unfortunately a lot of other DNS servers are.
We will be attempting to contact as many of the affected registrants as possible to warn them of the issue.
If you want to test your DNS there is a free tool available here

ns2.blacknightsolutions.com (82.96.97.64) is getting moved to new hardware. The new server is already setup and has been tested. All that's left to do is to move it to it's proper ip address.
There should be no visible downtime during the swap.

The maintenance window should not impact services, however we are flagging them as "at risk"
Existing .eu domains will not be affected, however updates and new registrations may be slower than normal
The .be registry (dns.be) is conducting some scheduled maintenance this afternoon from 5pm onwards.
The expected timeframe is about 10 minutes.
This will only impact new .be domain registrations being processed

We have been informed that the data centre which hosts one of our secondary nameservers (ns2.blacknightsolutions.com) is conducting maintenance this Friday night.
The server will be physically powered down and moved to a different part of the data centre in Germany.
We have not been given an exact timescale for the downtime, but we are expecting anything from two to four hours.
We will update you if / when we have any more details
NB: This will not affect any accounts hosted on the new hosting system which use ns1.blacknight.com / ns2.blacknight.com
