The store / shop is currently offline for maintenance.
At present we are not processing any orders and DNS updates are also not available.
Update 21:15: The store is back online as of 20:12, all other services associated with Domain registrations such as contact updates, dns updates etc are all back to normal aswell.
On Wednesday April 1st at 4am, we'll be upgrading our billing system to version 4.4 Service Pack 1. This will introduce a significant number of bug fixes and feature enhancements.
This will require some downtime, so the following systems and customer facing interfaces will not be available during this window:
1) our online store (https://store.blacknight.com).
2) the billing tab in cp.blacknight.com when you're logged in
3) domain name server changes, contact updates etc
Note: This affects all customers who have their billing handled by https://cp.blacknight.com
The maintenance will start at 4am approx and complete shortly before 8am.

We're having some unexpected problems in a few areas:
Firstly our payment plugin for the billing system isn't currently working, so can't accept debit/credit card payments. These tested fine on our test environment.
Secondly the plugin that handles all interaction with the IEDR (for .ie domains) is currently not working. Again this tested fine in our test environment, but not in the live. We're working with Parallels to get both plugins backup and running.
Lastly and not as critical as the problems above, there are some CSS/layout issues on the customer and admin facing parts of the billing system. The interface looks a little weird and it's not too easy to navigate. Hopefully this will be sorted soon.

We have been having transient issues with the Blacknight storefront for the last hour.
Currently we are looking into these with a hope to finding a permanent fix.

Update 1507 : This issue has been escalated internally with our software vendor
Update 1607: We have established the cause of the issue and have taken action to mitigate it. Things should be back to normal in the next couple of minutes
We are currently experiencing issues processing payments via credit card / Laser.
We will update you once this issue has been resolved.
In the interim we are more than happy to accept payment via Paypal, wire transfer etc.,

UPDATE: 2320 - this issue should now be resolved
Our billing site will be down tonight at 8pm for routine maintenance. This should take less than a hour while we test to make sure that everything is back up and running correctly.
We will not be able to accept any orders during this period.
Update: The maintenance has been completed successfully, and billing should be back up now.
Due to issues we've been experiencing with our Paypal integration we have decided to disable it temporarily.
We hope to resolve the issue today, but it may take several days.
Needless to say we still accept all other payment methods
